Preparation Guide
A little preparation goes a long way in making our tarot session a true ritual of discovery. To get the most out of our time together, I invite you to review and consider the following.
Part One
Arriving for the Reading
01. Set Your Intention
Take a few moments before we begin to reflect on what you want to explore. Whether it's a specific question or a general feeling of what you'd like to explore, arriving with a clear focus helps the wisdom of the cards land more deeply.
02. Create Your Sanctuary
Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be interrupted. You might light a candle, have a cup of tea, or have your favorite journal handy. Ensuring your physical space feels safe and contained allows your heart to open to the transformation ahead.
03. Regulate & Settle In
Try to give yourself five minutes of silence before our call. Closing your eyes and focusing on a four count breath helps regulate your nervous system, allowing you to move from the hectic pace of the day into a state of grounded presence.
04. Stay Open to the Unknown
The road isn't always linear. Be prepared to listen to what arises, even if it's unexpected. This space is designed to support your awakening, and sometimes the most profound insights come from the quietest whispers of your inner knowing.
Part Two
Crafting the Question
Creating a shortlist of areas in your life where you would benefit from guidance is a great start.
You’re welcome to bring a specific question, or to show up with a simple explanation of what you’re navigating.
Common Topics of Exploration
Common topics include: relationship conflicts, work and career choices, direction to take at a crossroads, unblocking creativity, or escaping patterns. No topic is too big or too small for us to hold (though I do not provide legal, medical, or financial advice).
Forming and Phrasing
- "What is most important for me to know about ___ right now?"
- "What energy should I bring to ___ situation, for a positive outcome?"
- "What is blocking me and/or supporting me, in pursuit of my goal?"
If you’re unsure how to phrase what you’re asking, don’t worry; we’ll clarify the language together in the first part of the session. If the topic is challenging and/or complex, you might consider booking a Pathfinding reading so we can give it the depth, context, and attention it deserves.
(I’m often told that the pre-reading consultations are as helpful and illuminating as the tarot itself.)
This is a space for presence; not perfection.
Arrive with the intention to engage with the wisdom and the process, and we’ll take it from there.
